Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the mobilization of the soft-tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments, skin, and connective tissue. Therapeutic massage increases blood circulation, loosens and breaks down scar tissue and increases flexibility. Massage is also one of the most effective ways to combat stress, relax the mind and lift the spirit. Massage Therapy not only treats problem areas but affects the whole of your body through the circulatory, muscular, lymphatic and nervous systems and their interdependent functioning.

Swedish Massage the Primary Technique

Swedish massage is the primary technique used; however, depending on the individual’s needs other therapeutic methods will be included. Swedish massage is quite relaxing and only rarely, in special circumstances, are the “chopping” type of techniques so often seen in the movies used. Swedish massage is actually the most common form of massage in North America.

RMT’s Complete 2200 Hours

Any health care provider who advertises themselves as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) must have completed a 2200 hour college curriculum as well as passed stringent provincial examinations. They can help identify and treat many different problems and conditions in the body. Massage Therapy is often covered under private health insurance policies.

Nutritional Analysis

Nutritional symptomatology pinpoints nutritional inadequacies as well as digestive deficiencies which can be corrected by changes in diet or food supplementation.

Having an efficient and stable base for our bodies to stand, walk and run is integral to maintaining proper alignment and function for the rest of the body.

The purpose in chiropractic is not to treat or cover up symptoms, bur rather to detect, reduce and even correct the underlying cause of why the body is not functioning properly.
