Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the mobilization of the soft-tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments, skin, and connective tissue. Therapeutic massage increases blood circulation, loosens and breaks down scar tissue and increases flexibility. Massage is also one of the most effective ways to combat stress, relax the mind and lift the spirit. Massage Therapy not only treats problem areas but affects the whole of your body through the circulatory, muscular, lymphatic and nervous systems and their interdependent functioning.

Swedish Massage the Primary Technique

Swedish massage is the primary technique used; however, depending on the individual’s needs other therapeutic methods will be included. Swedish massage is quite relaxing and only rarely, in special circumstances, are the “chopping” type of techniques so often seen in the movies used. Swedish massage is actually the most common form of massage in North America.
